Revenue management focuses on selling the right product to the right customer at the right time. Yield management is even narrower, and it concentrates on maximizing revenue from fixed inventory like hotel rooms or concert tickets. Revenue optimization is broader. It includes pricing, customer acquisition, retention strategies, and product development. While revenue management asks "How do we price this inventory?" revenue optimization asks "How do we grow total revenue across our entire business?" It's strategic and looks at the complete customer lifecycle rather than individual transactions.
