Click-through rate (CTR) is the percentage of people who clicked a link, button, or ad after seeing it. It indicates how compelling and relevant the content or creative was to the audience. Marketers use CTR to judge ad performance, email subject lines, and call-to-action effectiveness.

For example, if 1,000 people saw an ad and 50 clicked, the CTR is 5%. Tracking CTR helps improve targeting, copywriting, and placement choices across campaigns.
